MARGUERITE R. HORSLEY

Marguerite R. Horsley, 87, of Gloucester, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011, after a brief illness.

She was born in Philadelphia, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna Grosh Rettew, and was the widow of Jeffers Allen Horsley. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Rettew.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Gloucester for over 60 years and was also a member of the Woodman of the World. She retired from Gloucester Southside Insurance Co. after many years of service.

She is survived by her children, Louise H. Klebitz and her husband Mike, and Lewis Horsley and his wife Linda of Gloucester; her grandson, David Klebitz, and her nephews, Jim Rettew, John Rettew, and Norman Sibley.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:30-8 p.m. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at 11 a.m. in First Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dr. Douglas Nagel. Burial was in Windsor Gardens Cemetery in Dutton.

Memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund of First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 581, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, was in charge of arrangements.
