Louise Estelle Hall, 83, of Achilles, went to be with the Lord May 11, 2011, after a long illness.

She was a member of Union Baptist Church. Louise was employed by the William and Mary College Laundry for 14 years, and then cleaned houses for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar C. Coates; mother, Olera A. Coates; husband, Joseph Kenneth Hall; son, Joseph Kenneth Hall Jr.; sister, Myrtle Keeton, and sister-in-law, Dorothy Walker.

She is survived by daughter, Nancy Jenkins and husband Bennie; son, Steaven Hall and wife Anna; grandson, Mark Hall and wife Erica; two great-grandsons, Mark Edward Kenneth Hall and Benjamine Ray Hall; six sisters, Jerline Grant, Shirley Coates, Suzanne Haywood, Ruth Bonniville, Mary Jo Bonniville, Linda Hall; three brothers, Oscar Coates Jr., Roy Lee Coates, Kenneth Wayne Coates; two brothers-in-law, James L. Hall, Thomas E. "Man" Hall; special nephews, James "Jimmy" Keeton and fiancée Linda Sue Patrell, and Danny Keeton. She also leaves behind other family members and a lot of friends, and she will be sadly missed by all.

Funeral services conducted by the Rev. John Downs was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Achilles Friends Church Cemetery. The family received friends Saturday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. At other times friends may call at the home of her brother, Roy L. Coates.
