Judith Frances Rollins of Hayes, passed away peacefully on Jan. 15, 2013 at the age of 69.

She was a high school teacher for many years in both public and private schools, at King and Queen and Peninsula Catholic, focusing on English and Spanish.

She married John Rollins, a mail carrier and auxiliary policeman, on Aug. 28, 1975. They pursued decades of ministry together, helping countless people in the community in various ways.

After John passed away she continued ministering to the local retirement centers, where she was known to lift the spirits of the residents. Judy was a Sunday School teacher, led Bible study in her church, Lighthouse Worship Center, and her home. She was a lover of animals and was especially fond of eagles. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, church, and community.

She was predeceased by her husband of 29 happy years, John T. Rollins.

She leaves behind their children, Barbara Keener and her husband Andy Keener, Mark Rollins and his wife Chrissy Rollins, and Matthew Robertson and his fiancée Elizabeth Green; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her many friends in her home locality of Gloucester including many in the congregation of her church for 17 years, Lighthouse Worship Center.

Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Ken Cramer were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Lighthouse Worship Center. Interment followed at Parklawn Cemetery. The family received friends Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
