Heaven has claimed yet another angel as Josephine R. Wheeler, 89, passed on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., she was living in Mathews County at the time of her passing with her daughter and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Wheeler, and daughter, Constance W. Wesley.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Kelly of Manakin-Sabot, Va., and Phyllis Eborn of Mathews, Va.; one son, James J. Wheeler of Richmond, Va.; one brother, Carl Russo of Jacksonville, Fla.; two granddaughters, Rebecca Wesley and Sarah Eborn, and three grandsons, Isaac, Jacob and Matthew Wheeler.
A memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. David Magruder at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 at Grace-Providence U.M.C., Mobjack.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, N.Y. 10016.
