Janey F. Thrift, age 63, of Saluda, passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011.
She was a retired editorial assistant for the Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown, and was predeceased by her father, Donald B. Fitchett.
She is survived by a daughter, Angela Landes, and her husband Billy; a grandson, Austin Landes and her mother, Louise Smith, all of Gloucester.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, P.O. Box 385, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
