Howard Junior Jenkins, 80, of Hayes, died July 5, 2011 at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.

He was retired from the U.S. Army and also a retired Toll Collector of the Coleman Bridge. Howard was a member of Groves Memorial Presbyterian Church. He loved his family and was always there to help them. He will be greatly missed.

His beloved wife, Joyce Ann, preceded him in death in April 2011.

He is survived by children, Jerry Crowder, Raymond "Motie" Crowder and wife Theresa, Judy Ann Warren, Howard Lane Jenkins and wife Betsy; grandchildren, Nina Earnsting, Amy Crowder, Bradley Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Estelle Earnsting, Mallorie A. Coates and Jake Coates.

Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Kirk W. McCullough will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Groves Memorial Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
