FRASIA “SKEETER” HARRISON BROCK

Frasia "Skeeter" Harrison Brock, 82, of Gloucester, formerly of Richmond, passed away on Sept. 4, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frasia H. and Julia C. Brock, and sister, Lucy Bunn.

Skeeter is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Jeannette K. Brock; his daughters, Susan West and her husband Forrest, and Kathie Atkinson and her husband Steve; granddaughters, Cindy and Kelsey; great-granddaughter, Hannah; sisters, Mary Roberts and Barbara Taylor,; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and especially spending time with his family and friends. Skeeter retired from Columbia Propane after 31 years of service, and was an active member of Locust Grove United Methodist Church. He will be deeply missed, not only by his family but by all who knew him.

The family would like to convey our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love and support provided by an extensive network of friends and neighbors. We would also like to extend special thanks to Riverside Walter Reed Hospice.

A gathering for family and friends will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, at Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, in Locust Grove United Methodist Church in Dutton, Va. Services will be performed by Pastor Donald Warrick Jr. of Dutton. Interment, performed by Pastor W. Joseph Winfrey, will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Dale Memorial Park in Chesterfield, Va.

Memorial donations may be made to Riverside Walter Reed Hospice, P.O. Box 1130, Gloucester, Va. 23061; Gloucester Fire & Rescue, P.O. Box 1417, Gloucester, Va. 23061, or a charity of your own choosing.

Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, is in charge of arrangements.
