She enjoyed dining out with the other members of the Gloucester Red Hatters. She was a member of the World Outreach Worship Center located in Denbigh, as well as Newington Baptist Church in Gloucester.

Evone had a deep love for family including her many nieces and nephews and loved them all very much.

She is survived by her husband, Orval Warren Redhair; two sons, William T. Nelson (wife Theresa) and Grayland Nelson; her grandchildren, William Daniel "Danny" Nelson and Christopher "Chris" Adam Nelson; great-granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Nelson; her husband’s children, Paul James (wife Cindy), and Kathy James.

The family would like to thank her caregivers, Dr. Ronald Haggerty and staff, Carla Jones, Kecia Parker, and the staff of Riverside Walter Reed Hospice staff.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:30-8 p.m. with funeral services being on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at 1 p.m. conducted by Pastor Bobby Collins and Pastor Russell Everson. Burial was in Windsor Gardens Cemetery.
