Evangeline C. Armistead, age 88, of Cobbs Creek, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011.
She was a native of Mathews County and a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church and Chapter 113 Norview, O.E.S., in Norfolk, Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Wilson E. Armistead. She is survived by two daughters, Connie and husband Mark Fullerton of Kilmarnock, Va., and Beverly and husband Sheldon Foster of Cobbs Creek; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011, at 11 a.m. in Spring Hill Baptist Church, Cobbs Creek.
Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home and Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements.
