A funeral for Eugene L. "Boots" Bunting, 82, of Gloucester, was held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson. He died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012.
Mr. Bunting was a native of Poquoson, and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Poquoson. He served four years in the U.S. Navy, and retired after 37 years of service for NASA as an Engineering Technician.
He was preceded in death by his parents, O’Neal H. and Elton Bunting, and a sister, Esta Blanton.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joyce M. Bunting; a son, Edward E. Bunting; daughters, Cynthia M. Carr and Laury B. Brown; two grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
The service was conducted by the Rev. Milford C. Rollins and Pastor Dave McKnight. Burial followed at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton.
