Doris W. Pollard (nee Williamson), age 86, of Media, Pa., passed away Sept. 25, 2013.
Doris was born and raised in Richmond, Va. She and her family moved to Broomall, Pa., in 1959 where she raised her family. She then returned to North, Va., in 1981.
After her husband Thomas’s death in 1999, she moved to Media, Pa., to be near her children. Doris loved caring for her family, home, being around the water and tending to her vegetable gardens.
Doris is survived by her children, Stephen Pollard of Media, Pa., Susan Parker (Ron) of Claymont, Del., Sandra Getz (Paul) of Media, Pa., and Sharon Dougherty (Michael) of Springfield, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Kerry, Robert, Ron, Michael, Paul, Brian, Kristen, and Colleen, as well as seven great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the funeral service at the gravesite on Oct. 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Oakwood Cemetery, 3101 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, Va.
