Brian Leslie Jenkins, 41, of Reedy Springs Road, Spout Spring, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Brian was born in Williamsburg, Va., on June 28, 1971, a son of Bobbie M. and Charles Irvin Jenkins of Gloucester, Va. He was a construction worker and a veteran of the U.S. Armed Services.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Charles Lee Jenkins of Mathews; three sisters, Marsha J. Shromberg of Suffolk, Barbara J. Robbins (Earl) of Gloucester, and Patricia J. Zereski (Tom) of Caroline; four brothers, Joseph I. Jenkins (Beth) of Spout Spring, Ricky L. Jenkins (Mary), Allen D. Jenkins (Marie) and Mark A. Jenkins (Jennifer), all of Gloucester.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Lee Jenkins.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Sammy Gunter. Burial followed in Old Concord Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family received friends at the funeral home one hour before the service.
