BRENDA E. DAVIS

Brenda E. Davis, 66, of Gloucester, wife of William Leroy Davis, departed this life on Monday, July 2, 2012 to be with her Lord and Savior.

She was one of 11 children born to the late Sarah and Lloyd Cutler in Newfoundland, Canada.

Brenda so loved her church and she and Leroy’s love for each other grew stronger together spreading the Word of God. Every week Brenda and Leroy could be found at local nursing homes singing God’s praises to the residents, they were an inseparable couple. Reading the Bible to Leroy faithfully, she helped him prepare his weekly sermons for his church followers. Brenda was always thinking of others ahead of herself, even when her health was declining, she always made sure others never went without, especially her family.

Aside from her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by two brothers, Rae and Wayne Cutler.

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, William Leroy Davis; her daughter, JoAnn Greenway; her son, George "Joey" Anderson (AKA: Fishbox) and his wife Doreen Tweed; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Elizabeth, Jason, Gabrielle, Katherine, April, Shelby; a very special sister-in-law, Joanie Robbins; seven sisters, Hazel McLard (Paul), Jessie Barry (Billy), Katie Green, Karen Cutler, Debbie Brockerville (Brendon), Diane Drake and Corinne DuVal; one brother, Alvin Cutler (Annette); in-laws, Dick and Marie Bonniville; numerous brothers- and sisters-in-laws, and countless nieces and nephews.

The family received friends Wednesday, July 4 from 6-8 p.m. at Andrews Funeral Home, Main Street, Gloucester. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 5 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Shacklefords Cemetery, Shackle-
fords.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to William Leroy Davis, 7216 Hopkins Circle, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
