Barbara Ann West, 74, a lifelong native of Gloucester and homemaker, died Oct. 6, 2012 at her home.
She was a member of Bellamy United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and canning and loved to fish. She was a loving wife and mother, who will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin West.
She is survived by sons, Bernard L. West and wife Janie, Raymond F. West and wife Judy, Donald W. West; sisters, Patsy Cottee, Norma Jean Flippin and Brenda Bristow; brother, Ira Hansford Hall; grandchildren, Dawn, Brittney, Nicki, Daniel and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Gladys, Lillie and Grayson.
Funeral service officiated by the Rev. Richard Whiteheart was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed at Bellamy Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
