Comments sought about VDOT’s six-year plan

Public comments are being accepted for transportation projects on the Virginia Six-Year Improvement Program for fiscal years 2014-2019.

In the Fredericksburg Transportation District, which includes Gloucester and Mathews counties, $28.7 million is earmarked for bridge replacement or rehabilitation, including Route 662 over Fox Creek in Gloucester. Paving projects include Route 3s and 198 in Gloucester and Mathews, while $9.2 million is earmarked to reconstruct a segment of Route 17 in Essex County, a release said.
