Mathews County will be partnering with the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles’ mobile customer service center, DMV 2 Go, on Tuesday to assist anyone who may have to renew a license, purchase a fishing or hunting license, get a photo ID, title a boat or conduct any other transactions that a regular DMV office can assist with, according to Mathews County Treasurer Wendy Stewart.
The mobile unit will be at the Liberty Square office complex from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The unit will also be able to administer driving tests and handle those needing a road test for a regular vehicle driving license.
"This is their first visit," Stewart said. "After that date, we will continue to partner with DMV to establish a schedule depending on the volume of work needed for this area."
