"I have been honored to serve the citizens of Gloucester County as treasurer for the last 11 years," Thomas said. "In that time, my office has continued to provide excellent service to the citizens of the county while operating as efficiently and effectively as possible."
In her time as treasurer, Thomas said she has improved service to the citizens by expanding the means for making payments to Gloucester County. She said residents can do business with her office in the manner in which they choose, either during regular business hours in the office or by phone, or at their convenience electronically. Thomas said she is accessible to residents and works diligently to ensure that they are treated fairly and equitably.
Thomas was recently re-certified as a Master Governmental Treasurer through the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service at the University of Virginia, and she is a past president of the Treasurers’ Association of Virginia.
