Gloucester County’s 150th Civil War Commemoration Committee will be hosting representatives from the Library of Virginia from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11, to scan local residents’ Civil War-era documents.

The Legacy Project will be set up at Main Street Center, between the Dollar General store and the Gloucester Post Office.

The Library of Virginia is particularly interested in materials created during the period 1859-1867 that reflect social, political, military, business and religious life in Virginia during the period of the Civil War and early Reconstruction.
