After poor weather last year, the 31st Guinea Jubilee, scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the Abingdon Ruritan Club grounds in Bena, promises to be larger than ever, according to Elliott Hogge, chair of the Guinea Jubilee Committee.

All 17 members of this year’s committee have been working tirelessly since last year on this year’s event, Hogge said. "They have done a fantastic job," he added.
Over 70 displays will be available at this year’s festival, he said, including non-profit and for-profit displays. "There has been more interest this year on jewelry and trinkets and that sort of thing," Hogge said.
