Gloucester Sheriff’s Office investigators have arrested a man and charged him with five felonies in connection with a sexual assault reported on May 20 at a townhouse on Bellehaven Drive in Gloucester Point.
GSO Lt. Scott Little said investigators identified 23-year-old James Kenneth Tustin, formerly of 7552 Riverpark Road in Hayes, as a suspect through DNA analysis. He said Tustin was arrested in Warsaw, where he currently resided, and charged with breaking and entering, rape, forcible sodomy, robbery and abduction.
The victim told investigators she heard a knock at her door about 30 or 40 minutes before the assailant forced his way inside the townhouse and robbed and sexually assaulted her. He was described as a white male about six feet tall wearing jeans and a hooded jacket with a bandana over his face.
During the subsequent investigation, neighbors told detectives they had recently seen a suspicious man walking around the neighborhood but had not reported it to police.
