YouTube video turns spotlight on Gloucester
Thanks to a collaborative partnership of several county departments and community organizations, a YouTube video has been produced highlighting Gloucester County and the various reasons there are to visit and/or locate here.
These organizations, along with the Gloucester Main Street Association and the county’s tourism and economic development departments, have worked together to provide the information necessary to produce the video. It lasts just under four minutes and includes mostly real-time footage of various festivals and events that take place each year in the county.
Gloucester’s tourism director Hilton Snowdon said he receives at least three to four phone calls a week from people interested in relocating to and or visiting Gloucester. In the past, he has just been able to send information through the mail to these prospective residents and visitors, but now also directs them to the video link, which draws an even better picture of what the county has to offer.
So many organizations were able to work so well together because of their one common goal. “We all have this vested interest in letting people know (all there is to know about the county) who would like to live, work and play in Gloucester,” Snowdon said.
