Woodville Park dedication set for Sept. 22

A dedication ceremony for Woodville Park in Ordinary has been set for 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22.
A previously scheduled grand opening for the park was cancelled because of inclement weather. Soccer games will be ongoing through the day and park visitors may explore the features Woodville has to offer. The park is located off Brays Point Road.
The park is on a 100-acre tract donated to the county by the Arline Lanciano family and has been developed primarily through grants, donations and the work of volunteers. The park includes a picturesque pond, trails, soccer fields, and a sand soccer playing area, and will ultimately be home to Gloucester Youth Football.
