Wetlands board approves two applications

Two applications for construction that will impact wetlands were approved by the Mathews Wetlands Board on Oct. 6.
Evan Williams of Richmond, received permission to replace an existing 120-linear-foot groin at 259 Buckchase Road along the Chesapeake Bay, and Lawson M. Chenoweth of Chesterfield, was granted a permit to construct a 200-linear-foot sill with beach nourishment at 71 Veteran’s Way on Queens Creek.
An application by Dwayne Gary of Mechanicsville, was deferred pending the board’s opportunity to ask questions of the agent, who was not present.
