VDOT to inspect Gwynn’s Island bridge today

Motorists heading to and from Gwynn’s Island will encounter a single-lane closure between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. today as the Virginia Department of Transportation conducts its annual, scheduled inspection of the Route 223 (Cricket Hill Road) bridge.
During the daytime hours, flagging crews will direct traffic to take turns crossing the bridge in the open travel lane.
