Tiny wild kitten wins GJ hearts
"Wild Thing" had a terrible day on Monday, but a frightening day has the promise of a happy ending.
Wild Thing is just the present nickname for a tiny wild kitten caught in an outbuilding behind the Gazette-Journal in Gloucester, where it, a littermate and their mom had taken up residence.
The search continues for the rest of the family, after this coal-black baby with a white spot on its chest tripped the squirrel trap and spent a night of terror; but ate its food.
GJ staff got the kitten indoors and into a box, from which it promptly escaped, running madly through the newspaper building. Recaptured, it was placed back in its box then taken on what must have been a terrifying ride to a quiet room in a staff member’s home.
