About 30 people braved the cold waters of the York River Saturday to take part in the first “Guinea Dipping” to benefit the Gloucester Rowing Association, with approximately $5,000 raised through participant sponsors, according to a GRA spokesman. In addition to the GRA, a quarter of the proceeds went to benefit Park Partners.
