Supervisors to meet with school board, discuss reassessment Tuesday
The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday night with the Gloucester County School Board in a closed session that will begin at 6 o’clock in the Gloucester Library community room.
Gloucester County spokesperson Christi Lewis said the two boards will be meeting behind closed doors to "discuss potential disposition of real property and potential award of a public contract involving expenditure of public funds."
The board of supervisors will reconvene in open session at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the county’s reassessment process.
Though it is unclear if Tuesday’s closed session is directly related to Page Middle School, supervisors expressed contrasting viewpoints on the school—how it was/should be funded and what to do with the old Page site—during last week’s board meeting in the colonial courthouse.
The topic has been at the forefront of discussions between supervisors and school board members since the school was heavily damaged from a tornado last April.
