Photo: Carrying on a tradition that dates back at least 20 years, members and friends of American Legion Post 83 at Hudgins delivered Christmas dinner on Sunday to 41 persons. These included Meals on Wheels recipients and public safety personnel who were on duty during the holiday. The turkey dinners with all the trimmings were prepared by Mathews caterer Shirley Williams. Gathered at the legion hall Christmas morning to pack and take out the meals, from left, were Roy Walker, post commander Al Smith, Sheila Pillath, Logan Diggs, Jo Furey, adjutant Morey Alexander, Ruby Slayton, Willie Hubbard, Capt. Arnold Ripley, Tommy Lewis, Scott Pillath, Roney Leitner and Ervin Morris. Photo by Elsa Cooke Verbyla
