Smooth openings reported at local schools

"It was a good day, it really was. The attitudes were all positive," Hutchinson said. The air conditioning in the main office areas at Gloucester High School and Peasley Middle School was down for a while, Hutchinson said, but that involved a timer problem that was soon resolved.
Workers are still tweaking a newly-installed keyless entry system at GHS and there were some computer glitches in the cafeterias at GHS and Botetourt Elementary that are being remedied. Hutchinson said the transportation department is making a few bus route adjustments but noted that everyone got to school and back home safely on Tuesday. "Life is back in the buildings," he added.
