Planners to discuss delineating sanitary area at Hudgins

The Mathews County Planning Commission, during a brief meeting Tuesday night, decided to have a work session before the scheduled June meeting to discuss a proposal to delineate a sanitary area at Hudgins. No date has been set for the meeting.
The suggested sanitary area would extend from approximately Mathews Baptist Church and Donk’s Theater to Chimney Corner Lawnmower on Route 198, and from Route 198 to the vicinity of the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad and property owned by the Mathews Family YMCA on Cricket Hill Road.
Planning and zoning director John Shaw said the commission will seek the opinions of property owners in the designated area.
