Offices close for Christmas holiday

All county offices, DMV customer service centers, and circuit courts in Gloucester and Mathews will be closed Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, Dec. 24, 25, and 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday.
General district courts in both counties will be closed Monday and Tuesday only.
Schools in Mathews will have early dismissal at 1 p.m. Friday and will remain closed for two weeks, reopening on Monday, Jan. 7.
Gloucester schools will be closed from Dec. 24 through Jan. 2, reopening on Thursday, Jan. 3.
Gloucester libraries are closing at 5 p.m. today and Friday, and will be closed Saturday through next Wednesday, reopening for normal hours on Thursday, Jan. 3. The book drop will be locked Sunday through Wednesday.
Mathews Memorial Library will be closed from Saturday through Wednesday, reopening on Thursday, as well.
