The public is invited to learn more about a proposed Gloucester Blueways Water Trail for kayaking and canoeing enthusiasts during a meeting Monday at 7 p.m. in the community room at the Gloucester Library, Main Street Center. The trail is being launched by the Gloucester Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism.

Monday’s meeting will also be an opportunity for residents to provide input for the trails, according to Hilton Snowdon, tourism coordinator.

A presentation will be given during the meeting that will include photos of potential locations under consideration for inclusion on the trail, Snowdon added. Public input is being sought on the sites and on information to include in the print and web promotional materials.

"The goal is to have the printed map guide of water trails and maps posted to the website for download available by Saturday, Oct. 13 and featured at the annual Dragon Run Day Event held at Thousand Trails Campground," he said.

For additional information, call Gloucester’s tourism department at 693-0014.
