The Mathews County Board of Supervisors will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the historic courtroom on Court Street.

Agenda items include reconsideration of an amendment to the junk vehicle ordinance, an update on the Fort Nonsense project and request for approval of the low bid for construction, a discussion of the schedule for developing the 2013-2014 budget, and an update on the 2011-2012 audit report.

Supervisors are expected to report on Hurricane Sandy and on the Virginia Association of Counties annual conference, which was held Nov. 11-13 at The Homestead in Hot Springs.

There will also be reports from planning and zoning director John Shaw, Sheriff Mark Barrick, Extension agent Nancy Roche, building official Jamie Wilks, VDOT residency engineer Sean Trapani, and school superintendent Dr. David Holleran.

The board is also expected to consider appointments to the wetlands board and the board of zoning appeals.

Finally, the board will recognize circuit court clerk Eugene Callis III, who is retiring.
