Mathews planners to meet Tuesday

The Mathews County Planning Commission has a short agenda for its meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the historic courthouse.
A previously announced joint public hearing with the board of supervisors on a text amendment to add piers under setback requirements will not be held because it was not advertised in time, said planning and zoning director John Shaw.
The commission will discuss the village mixed use district and will consider a request by a resident that a speaker be invited to address the commission and board of supervisors.
