Mathews planners to meet Tuesday

.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) | Posted on Jan 11, 2012 - 12:18 PM Printer Friendly View

The Mathews County Planning Commission will discuss proposed administrative variances during its meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the historic courthouse on Court Street.

Planning director John Shaw has suggested that his office be given the authority to issue setback variances under some limited circumstances. In addition, he plans to ask the commission to consider a text amendment to the subdivision ordinance that would require an applicant to submit an environmental assessment and delineate the RPA on every preliminary subdivision plat when the plan of development is submitted for review rather than when the preliminary plat is approved.

Also on the agenda are a discussion of priorities for the upcoming year, including establishing the meeting schedule, and a review of the 2011 annual report.
