The 36th annual Mathews Market Days will be held on Sept. 10 and 11 at Mathews Court House. The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a street dance from 8 to11.

Some 90 booths will be set up, displaying local arts and crafts, tempting food items and many locally made products. Highlighting the local talent will be 25 artists from the Mathews Art Group. Also on sale will be copies of the 2010 Market Days poster.

Several organizations will offer financial planning, environmental awareness information, security, health tips and much more.

The Youth Corner will include rides, youth art, pet parade, clown, puppet show, cotton candy, ice cream and other fun and games. On Friday, Showtime Karaoke will be featured on the main stage from 3 to 5 p.m.

From 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, spelling bees will be taking place in the historic courthouse. Entertainment will be held inside at Westville Christian Church from 11 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Saturday, with six different groups performing.
