Local health departments offer flu shots

The Three Rivers Health District will hold a series of flu vaccine clinics throughout the region this month.
Local clinics will be held at the Gloucester County Health Department on Oct. 9, 16, 19 and 30; at the Mathews County Health Department on Oct. 10, 15, 18, 29 and 31; and at the Middlesex County Health Department on Oct. 15, 16 and 29.
To schedule an appointment on one of these days, contact the Gloucester (693-6130), Mathews (725-7131) or Middlesex (785-2381) health departments.
Flu vaccines will be administered by a licensed health care provider. The cost for self-pay customers is $25. Pneumovax is also being offered at $84.38 for self-pay customers. As a courtesy to those with insurance, the Three Rivers Health District will bill participating providers.
