Supervisor O.J. Cole requested the action, saying that he needed more background information since he missed the past two meetings for health reasons. He said he needed a work session to bring him up to speed.

County administrator Mindy Moran had explained earlier that the only proposed change to the litter ordinance would be to provide for administrative enforcement of the ordinance rather than the county having to take court action. She had suggested that a session with the county attorney might help supervisors understand the issues involved.

Proposed changes to the junk vehicle ordinance would also include a provision allowing for administrative enforcement, along with a requirement to place junk vehicles in a building or behind fencing or shrubbery. Covering such vehicles would no longer be allowed. In addition, the county could have such vehicles towed and impounded.

Supervisor Charles Ingram moved to table action and have the work session. The meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, in the historic courthouse.
