Members of the Gloucester and Gloucester Point Rotary clubs joined efforts in applying for a grant to benefit the Woodville Park walkway project, which created a walking trail around a lake at the new park. The trail was constructed by placing crusher-run stone over a sand base and was contained by placing treated material on the edge to keep the stone in place. Park Partners, the Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department, Rotarians and other volunteers have been instrumental in performing much of the labor. The contribution by both clubs totaled $2,200. Shown, from left, standing in front of the walkway are Chris Clifford, who has donated countless hours of labor to the Woodville Park project; Gloucester Point Rotary president Becky Horsley, Gloucester Rotary Club president Makalia Records, Gloucester PRT director Carol Steele, and Gloucester Point Rotary foundation chair Bill Weaver.
