The next meeting of the Gloucester Resource Council is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. next Wednesday, Oct. 3, in the Gloucester Library community room.

Gloucester Resource Council is a network of human service agencies and organizations, businesses and community members that meet to discuss and share information and resources. Cooperative, interagency efforts are planned and implemented to maximize community resources and minimize costly duplication of services.

Member agencies include the Alzheimer’s Association, Bay Aging, Social Services, Gloucester Library, Laurel Shelter, Middle Peninsula Head Start, Community Education, Gloucester-Mathews Free Clinic, and several local churches.

The council’s monthly meetings are open to any community member or organizational representative.

For more information, call Gloucester’s community education department at 693-5730.
