The Gloucester County Planning Commission will set its priorities for 2012 during a meeting beginning at 7:30 tonight in the colonial courthouse.

"We have already added (the) Comprehensive Plan Update as your top priority for 2012," planning director Anne Ducey-Ortiz said in a Dec. 27 memorandum to the commission.

"In addition, during 2012 staff and the commission will be actively working with the Main Street Preservation Trust for a plan for the Courthouse area and finalizing the implementation ordinance for the Gloucester Point/Hayes Village Development Area Plan," Ducey-Ortiz said.

Ducey-Ortiz praised commissioners for their hard work and dedication. "You continue to tackle difficult topics in a thoughtful, conscientious and courteous manner and as the staff that supports you, we are very proud of how well you work together to make decisions," she wrote.
