Gloucester board to hold work session Tuesday
Members of the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors are expected to tackle some tough subjects during a work session Tuesday night in the colonial courthouse.
The work session, scheduled to begin at 7 o’clock, will include a report from a Virginia Department of Emergency Management representative on the statewide disaster declaration process. Supervisors will also hear a report on the upcoming deadline for tornado/storm relief through the Virginia Disaster Relief Fund.
Gloucester purchasing manager Bill Lindsey is expected to present the supervisors with a review of the county procurement ordinance.
Later in the meeting, the board will enter a discussion regarding amendments to county code involving business license (BPOL) taxes and a separate discussion regarding an amendment to county code involving water, sewers and sewage.
Finally, the board may hold a discussion on the county’s proposed fiscal year 2012-13 budget.
