The Gloucester-Mathews Gazette-Journal continues to celebrate its 75th anniversary month.
A merger of the Gloucester Gazette and Mathews Journal, the present newspaper made its first appearance on Nov. 11, 1937.
This month we celebrate with a retro flag on page 1, daily open house at the Gloucester and Mathews offices, an anniversary issue next week, Nov. 15, specials on subscriptions, and a drawing at the end of the month for 30 prizes—one for each day in November.
