County working hard to come up with accurate reassessment
Last week was a sign that this next reassessment in Gloucester may be headed in that direction when members of Scott County, Minnesota’s assessment team traveled here to see Gloucester’s new appraisal software and modeling as a possible prototype for that county’s own reassessment efforts.
“I must admit, I am very proud of this as Vision has over 400 clients and they recommended us to this locality,” Green said.
Using the Vision software, he has developed various models that are unprecedented in how they can identify specific home models in various subdivisions in the county and come up with an accurate assessment of those homes without having to send numerous team members into the field.
For instance, in newer developments like Coleman’s Crossing at Hayes, Green can identify the home he is assessing by its model name and bring up on the computer the sketch of that particular model and compare it to sales of the other models in the neighborhood.
