The superintendent’s ad hoc committee that will recommend a long-term solution to replacing all or some of the tornado-damaged Page Middle School began its work this week.

The committee met for about six hours on Monday and is expected to finish its work on Monday, July 25. It is expected the committee will present its recommendation, along with a second option, to the Gloucester County School Board on Aug. 9.

The committee work is being assisted by architect Duane Harver of RRMM Architects. The committee includes school division superintendent Ben Kiser, assistant superintendents John Hutchinson and Chuck Wagner, division construction manager Scott Shorland, Page Middle School principal Dave Daniel, Peasley Middle School principal Bryan Hartley, Gloucester High School principal Tony Beverage, Gloucester School Board chairman Anita Parker and member Jean Pugh, and county supervisor Buddy Rilee.

Also on the committee are county residents Jay Napier, Mike Hager, Jennifer Latour, Heidi Warren and Russell Fletcher and teachers Kathy Tucker and Jennifer Eddy.
