The Gloucester County Chesapeake Bay Preservation and Erosion Commission reviewed three buffer applications during a meeting May 11 in the colonial courthouse.

Dockside Condo Owners Association has applied for a buffer modification to install a boat sewage pump-out for the association docks off Sunset Drive near Sarah Creek.

However, Linda Walthall, permit technician for the Environmental Division of the Gloucester Codes Compliance Office, said the commission continued its deliberation to a future meeting to get more information about the project.

Sabrina Snavely was granted permission for a buffer modification to construct a pergola addition to her dwelling located at 3195 Pony Drive near the Severn River. The commission tabled that application at its April meeting to allow Snavely additional time to submit a formal detailed plan.

By a 7-0 vote, the commission approved the Snavely application with the following conditions: removal of all building materials stored in the Resource Protection Area; Installation of plantings within the RPA as depicted in proposed landscape plan provided, with an additional four gardenias; installation of a rain barrel, and a surety bond posted until all conditions are met.
