Gloucester and Mathews residents came together Tuesday to provide Christmas dinners for others. In top photo, event organizer Crystal Bowman, center, along with volunteers Sabrina Myers, Roshawn Frankie, Allison Poindexter and Cheryl Ewell, from left, were among those serving a community dinner for about 350 people at Damon & Company, Gloucester. They had about 50 volunteers and Santa Claus gave out hundreds of toys. Toys, coats and other items were donated to the Laurel Shelter. Below, members of American Legion Post 83, Mathews, made and delivered Christmas meals for the county’s 42 Meals on Wheels clients.
