Ashley Chriscoe, at-large representative to the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors, will host his first town hall meeting, March 5, at 7 p.m. at T.C. Walker Elementary School.

The main focus of the town hall will be Gloucester’s fiscal year 2013 budget proposal that includes capital improvement plan recommendations and the budget proposal for Gloucester County Public Schools.

County administrator Brenda Garton is expected to formally present her proposed FY 2013 budget to the board of supervisors on March 7.

School superintendent Ben Kiser presented his proposed budget last week, which calls for an increase of $4.2 million, or almost 21 percent, in local tax dollars for its operating fund.

Other current events and topics in Gloucester will also likely be discussed at the town hall meeting and there will be opportunity for community members to share their comments, concerns and questions about issues that are important to them.
