Approximately 35 people attended a "Meet the Candidates Forum" Friday night hosted by the Piankatank Community League at its building in Harcum. After brief opening statements from all the candidates, they were asked questions on issues pertaining to the environment, finances and government operation. Individual questions from the audience were used and the candidates were asked to make final statements as to why they were running for office. The evening ended with refreshments and an opportunity to meet one-on-one with the candidates. Shown, from left, are school board candidates Anita Parker (Petsworth) and Charles Records (at-large); at-large board of supervisors’ candidates John Meyer and Grant Keller, and Petsworth district board of supervisors’ candidates Michael Jenkins and Michael Winebarger. Paul Malcolm, standing, moderated the forum.
