BZA to hold hearings Tuesday on two business requests

The Gloucester County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold public hearings on two business applications during a meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Gloucester Library at Main Street Center.

The board will meet there as the colonial courthouse, its regular meeting place, is not available that night because of the Republican primary.

C.W. Davis, owner of C.W. Davis Construction, Inc., property owner, has applied for a special exception to establish a contractor’s office and storage facility for a contractor engaged in building and construction trades.

Codes compliance director Ron Peaks said that the special exception is being sought for property Davis already uses for an asphalt plant and a concrete plant, located at C.W. Davis Way near Rappahannock Community College at Glenns. The property is in the Petsworth Magisterial District and is zoned Rural Countryside (RC-1).
